St. Paul will begin its annual fall street sweeping Monday, with the city asking residents to move cars and keep leaves and debris out of streets. Parts of Frogtown were posted with temporary no parking signs ahead of St. Paul Public Works starting fall residential street sweeping operations on Oct. 19. The city plans to sweep more than 530 miles of residential streets and expects the work to last the next six weeks. The city is asking residents not to sweep, rake or shovel debris into the street at any time. Residents are also being asked to move cars when their street is posted with temporary no parking signs because vehicles in those zones could be ticketed and towed. When asked if he s happy to see them come clean the streets, Curt Favors, the owner of Willard s Bar, said, Yes, definitely, definitely, actually, they do a good job. Minneapolis street sweeping will begin Tuesday, with signs expected to be posted Monday. Click here for a map and more infor
